About me

I used to be a foreign policy professional with an academic background in law. I worked more than 10 years in the Danish Foreign Ministry, and I have then worked with data protection law and IT security at Styrelsen for Arbejdsmarkeds og Rekruttering.

Since 2014, I have been the first alternate for Radikale Venstre to the European Parliament and you could find me as the number two on the ballot paper on the 26th of May 2019. Since 2nd of July, I’ve been a member of the European Parliament for Denmark as a part of the Renew Europe group.

I am European as well as Danish. I have lived in Brussels, London, Strasbourg, Marseille – and Copenhagen. I hold a MA in Law as well as a Master of Public Administration from the French School of Administration (ENA). After a decade as a Danish diplomat, and a bit more than a year working with data protection law, I am now one of your representatives in the European Parliament.

When I worry about the direction politics is going, for me there is only one option: to become even more involved. I want to listen more. To do more. I believe that commitment is important. If you stand for office, then you can be elected. If you turn up to vote, then your vote can make a difference

Political systems are created by people. They can also be changed by people. We cannot afford to let our frustrations grow to the point where they overshadow our capacity for action. Hate can be triggered as easily as hope. The society we have built, based on cooperation and freedoms, is fragile. We need to fight every day to sustain it.

We can achieve a lot if we dare to try! Let’s roll up our sleeves, lift our gaze, and work together to create the kind of world we want. For ourselves, and for all the young people who will live with the consequences of our choices.

It is extremely important for me that we all have a voice in our society, I hope that you will use your right to vote on the 26th of May for the European elections.

You are very welcome to contact me if you have any questions about me, my political work or political goals.
